The second layer is the 1-inch memory foam surface with pressure relief and a transitional feature between the memory foam and latex heads. The 3.5-inch support layer is designed for pressure relief, body contour, and compression at light weights while the bottom foundation layer is the 3.5-inch polyurethane foam that shapes the mattress and acts as a foundational support.
