Zotto is one of the newest names in the mattress industry with the first-ever mattress bed under this brand manufactured from scratch, focusing on several factors that result in poor sleep particularly sleeping hot and inadequate back support. The American brand focuses on creating a mattress bed that resolves the causes of poor sleep instead of purely concentrating on comfort and merely making improvements upon old bed technologies.
Construction
There are 4 distinct layers in the 10” mattress with their unique features and functions when you break down the mattress and discover each level from top to bottom starting with the topmost comfort layer that showcases the 2” gel-infused foam. The next level is the 2” support layer made up of the CoolFlow memory foam while the transition layer is composed of the 2” Energex foam that offers a push-back feel and support regardless of the sleeper’s position and size. The bottom base layer is made up of 4 inches of high-density support foam acting as the main foundation of the bed, supporting the other 3 topmost layers.

Advantages
One of the main highlights of the Zotto mattress is the is its cooling feature due to the unique Thermaphase comfort layer which is an unmatched hybrid foam that cradles the body while ensuring the ultimate temperature regulation through drawing the heat and moisture away from the sleeper’s body. The mattress also boasts of the high-quality CoolFlow layer with open cells that offer both cooling and top notch pressure point relief and back and spine support.
Disadvantages
For some sleepers, the Zotto mattress is quite firm with its 5 or 6 out of 10 scores on the firmness scale and it provides a bouncier sleeping surface which is quite more pronounced than the regular memory foam mattresses on the market. There may also be some off-gassing issues especially with the first few days of using the mattress where users take note of a pungent chemical odor although this eventually fades after several days. Just like any other memory foam beds, the Zotto mattress has fair to average edge support which may not be ideal for large and heavy sleepers or sitting at the corner or sleeping near the edge of the bed.
back to menu ↑Quality of Materials/Durability
The Zotto mattress scores 5 or 6 out of 10 in the firmness scale with different layers of the foam having their own density levels such as 4.0 lbs or PCF for the comfort layers, 3.10 lbs density or PCF for the Energex polyfoam layer, and 1.8 lbs or PCF for the base support layer. The mattress offers average to above average durability of useful life for the mattress particularly the ThermaPHase™ comfort layer which took years to develop while all 3 topmost layers of the foam are patent pending foam hybrids called the Z3™ offering just the right amount of support, however, the lifespan of the mattress may also highly depend on the weight and pressure it is exposed to on a regular basis along with regular maintenance.
back to menu ↑How it Feels/Overall Sleep Experience
The mattress is ideal for individuals who want a slightly softer feel but prefer a more pronounced sinking or hugging feeling thus it is the perfect match for side sleepers although back and stomach sleepers find it comfortable as well. It provides a noticeably cool sleep experience especially for individuals who sleep hot through the temperature regulating feature of the topmost layers.
back to menu ↑How Much Should You Pay for It
Zotto mattresses belong to the mid-range level in the pricing scale with Twin size mattresses at $500 to $995 for California King beds, however, this price range is when you buy directly from the manufacturer’s website.
